Just ahead of Ellie’s 7th birthday last week, we received an exciting package in the mail from a new brand of supplements and treats called ZamiPet.
ZamiPet is an Australian company that offers a range of products specially formulated by veterinarians for dogs of all ages. Whether your Lab needs some extra support for their joints, skin, digestion, or immunity, ZamiPet has something for them. What’s more, their products are now available to buy in Coles.
The company was launched in July 2021 by Zamira, a company that has been working in the farm animal health space for over 15 years. Zamira believes that pets deserve a happy, active, and healthy life, just like humans. That’s why they created ZamiPet, using quality ingredients from natural sources and scientific evidence to back up their claims.
You may notice when your Lab is feeling low, they may struggle to jump into the car, lose interest in food, or have a dull coat. We know that can happen to Ellie, who does struggle with her mobility sometimes. ZamiPet supplements and treats can help prevent or address these issues.
ZamiPet offers seven types of supplements and four types of treats for dogs. The supplements come in chews or easy-to-use sachets that you can sprinkle over your dog’s food once a day. The treats are made with chicken or salmon, and contain functional health ingredients to support your dog’s well-being.

Joint Care: This supplement contains glucosamine, chondroitin, and green-lipped mussel to support your Lab’s joint health and mobility. We would pop three of these chews in Ellie’s dinner and they were consistently the item she would seek out in her bowl to eat first before finishing off everything else. These beneficial nutraceuticals can help support the health of your pets joints, reducing stiffness and pain, and increasing mobility.
Digestion: This supplement contains prebiotics, probiotics, and enzymes to support your Lab’s digestive health and reduce flatulence. The formula contains a concentrated 7-strain probiotic, which may help with various stomach upsets and sensitivities. When Ellie tries new foods it can lead her to have an upset stomach for a couple of days and previously we would add greek yoghurt to her diet to help remedy this. These tasteless sachets are a stronger dose of the good stuff in yoghurt that can be sprinkled over a meal and we’ve noticed her farts are less smelly – a huge plus.

Calming: This supplement contains chamomile, lemon balm, and L-tryptophan to help your Lab cope with stress and anxiety.

We didn’t try these ones so can’t comment on whether Ellie liked them or not. I’d definitely be interested in trying the immunity and calming ones.
Dental sticks
Relax & Calm dental sticks were to help support the overall oral health of your dog. They work to reduce bad breath and tartar. The four-leaf clover design aids in oral health through gentle abrasion which cleans the teeth and gums of your pet. For added benefit and wellbeing, they are made with the soothing ingredients of Valerian Root and Passionflower, helping to keep a healthy nervous system. Ellie loves a dental stick and she got stuck into these.
Treats
ZamiPet also has a great selection of treats for training and snacks between meals.
Digestion Treats: These treats contain prebiotics, probiotics, and enzymes to support your Lab’s digestive health and reduce flatulence. Again, always a plus! They contain Australian chicken enriched with vitamins and minerals, they also contain gut-friendly prebiotics, turmeric and oats to boost gut health. Ellie loved these as a little chew snack in the middle of the day between breakfast and dinner.
